Members of our Heinemann x ME loyalty program benefit from privileges when shopping and receive personalized offers based on their home airport. More than two million travelers are already taking advantage of these benefits.
Passengers can pre-order goods in our Heinemann online shop and then pick them up at the airport, ready to go. Within the EU and with a German delivery address, they can also have their order delivered to their home.
Our Heinemann app is a valuable travel companion. It not only allows you to find out about products and shop, but also offers inspiration on trends, new products and highlights. There is a separate area for Heinemann x ME members.

In addition to shops under the Heinemann Duty Free brand, we operate shops worldwide in joint ventures, for example as "Frankfurt Airport Retail" at Frankfurt am Main Airport, as "Unifree Duty Free" in Istanbul (Turkey) or as "Big Five Duty Free" in Cape Town and Johannesburg (South Africa), among other places. The many years of close cooperation and our combined expertise in our partnerships pave the way for further strengthening travel retail and responding to new passenger needs and requirements.
In airport retail, we not only give a face to the core duty-free segment: We also operate monobrand boutiques under license in the fashion, accessories, watches, and jewelry category. In our boutiques, travelers will find the world´s most coveted premium, affordable luxury and top luxury brands, such as Hermès, Gucci, Saint Laurent, Bottega Veneta, Hugo Boss, Bvlgari, Burberry, Ferragamo, Alexander McQueen, Chloé, Givenchy, Off-White, Breitling, Cartier, Omega, IWC and Montblanc.
Gebr. Heinemann has also developed multi-brand concepts that bring the design and atmosphere of international luxury department stores to airports, and continues to implement extraordinary shop concepts, such as the country-specific "Bazaar" at Istanbul Airport or the "Destination Hamburg Shop" at Hamburg Airport.
We operate shops under our own Travel FREE brand at national borders in the Czech Republic, Poland and Romania with wholly-owned subsidiaries and in Bulgaria in partnership. In Ukraine, we operate border shops through our joint venture Duty Free Trading.
Business at border crossings offers great potential for diversification and growth. Border shops are becoming more and more attractive for new customer groups and brands as a result of renovations, new construction and modernization. In addition to the classic products in demand in this area, which offer savings potential, the demand for items from the premium and luxury segment has increased significantly.
Through our wholly-owned subsidiaries Heinemann Americas and Heinemann Cruiseliner Global GmbH, we operate shops on board cruise ships around the world. This includes the largest cruise ship in the world, Royal Caribbean´s Icon of the Seas. In addition to Royal Caribbean, we are concessionaires for TUI Cruises, Hapag-Lloyd, Phoenix and AIDA.
Through our corporate headquarters in Hamburg and the regional headquarters of our subsidiaries in Miami and Singapore, we have our own global network for shop operations on cruise ships and their supply.
